Growing the Faith of the People
I hope you will join me in prayer this week for the returning students, teachers, and administrators of each school. The beginning of the school year brings excitement and is filled with possibility. Please pray for the safety of all who pass through each school’s doors. Please pray for a year of learning and for those who teach. Finally, pray for a memorable year and one blessed by God.

This week’s prayer, pray this with me each day:
Lord, you are always near, waiting on me, even when I’m too busy to find time for you. Today, I pause for a moment to think about your love and grace that is always available to me. It is like a summer shower that brings nourishment to the ground. Teach me, convict me, and burden me so that I continually make time for you.
Lord, I remind myself that there are things you want to teach me. Lord, I ask for grace to hear them, and for them to fully work your acts of salvation. Finally, I remind myself that I am in your presence and I take refuge in your loving heart. Lord, you be my strength in times of my weakness. Lord, you be my comfort in times of sorrow. Lord, you be my light in times of darkness. In the end, I am yours and you are mine, so be it forever. Amen.

Join us for a spiritually empowering retreat in the mountains of Copperhill, TN. We will raft down the Ocoee River, grill s’mores, enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, and jump off the blob 100 times! Each morning and evening, we will experience some awesome worship with the Kyle Edenfield Band and hear how God has called Shane Wilbanks to make know the mystery of the Gospel as he communicates Christ creatively as a Speaker, Artist, and Illusionist. Shane has over 20 years ministry experience. He has served on staff in churches from 300 to nearly 3000 attendees.
