When Jesus is not on the stage and isn’t in front of a crowd, He is still ministering behind closed doors. What a model of how we are to live! Before Jesus speaks one word in the Upper Room, Jesus has to get His disciples’ attention.

Christ came to save us and there’s nothing we do to earn this grace. God accepts us just as we are and this is the ragamuffin part of all of us. This is the picture of God’s love, yet we lean away from His love feeling a little squeamish towards it. Imagine if for a day you saw yourself the way God truly sees you … as one who is loved. Bask in the acceptance of God’s love for you. Believe that He accepts you not because He has to accept you, but He accepts you because He truly loves you. We have peace when God is all we seek.
One of the characteristics of God that is absolutely mind-boggling is that He deliberately chooses to use His broken creation to be instruments of His grace and love where His Kingdom is declared and revealed.
