Fall Bible Studies For Adults 2020

Grow Your Faith In Christ!
In this crazy world, our faith is so critical as we navigate the unknowns. God, however, is known. He is our Rock and our Redeemer. These Bible studies offer both in-person and virtual opportunities for you to choose. We hope you will find one or more that suits you and your schedule, as we all seek to grow our faith.
Sadly, due to COVID-19, we will not be able to offer a nursery for any of these studies. Remember, everyone who comes into St. Paul must wear a mask. Please call the church office with questions or to register in-person attendance by phone (706) 327-7419.

St Paul has begun a small groups ministry designed for folks who wish to experience good fellowship in a comfortable home setting while exploring the riches and life application of God’s Word.

These “Serendipity” studies are designed to be easily led/facilitated and are fun to participate in. There are icebreaker questions, a focus passage of a Jesus encounter, and interestingly worded questions that are sure to bring about lively discussion and a bit of laughter!

The ideal size of the small group is about 10 people…couples and/or singles…and the initial series will be 6 sessions that should last about an hour each. For those wishing to continue the second series has 8 sessions.

If you are interested in hosting, or participating in, a small group, or if you have any questions, please contact Jack Key (jack@kpdk.com) // 706-324–2542.

Join Emily Trotter and John Fugh Jr. for this new on-demand study on the significance of the Holy Spirit in our lives today.

In This Episode:

Scriptures References: Ephesians 3:14-21 | Matthew 28:18-20 | John 20:21 | Acts 1:8 | Isaiah 6:8 | Acts 4:13 | 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 | Colossians 1:17 | Mark 10:21-22 | Acts 1:3 | Acts 1:6 | Acts 1:7-8 | Matthew 5:13-14 | Ephesians 4:1 | John 21:15-19 | Romans 5:1

The proclamation of forgiveness that has already been declared in heaven.

They were not special or dynamic men and women of faith. They were just people who were willing to listen to God.

We claim that what we want is to know what will happen exactly. When we do know, we then try to figure out what to do based upon our own strength. The tension is that when this happens, we tend to have more confidence in ourselves than in God.

The Holy Spirit knows what the future holds. He knows what we get today will be needed for then.

The Holy Spirit is at work within us to empower us to be people who will listen.

The Holy Spirit is all around us and encompassing us.

“Not everything in the Bible is about me. But everything in the Bible is for me.”

First and foremost, the Holy Spirit empowers you to be a witness for Christ — to speak boldly about Him.

First Steps – August 31, 2020

While running errands a few days ago, I dropped by a friend’s office and saw a poem displayed on a desk.  It turns out the author of the poem was Mother Teresa.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone may destroy overnight; Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God; It was never between you and them anyway.

We live for an audience of one – God.  If we can remember this, our relationships will take care of themselves.  Give it a try.  You will not be disappointed.
