St. Paul UMC Financial Commitment for 2020

Dear St. Paul Family,

As we move into the fourth quarter of the year, our thoughts change to cooler temperatures, autumn colors, and the upcoming holidays. We also begin to think about 2020. For St. Paul, this means our missional focus to grow the faith of people by providing certain opportunities for people to
see and trust God.

Our church can’t fulfill her mission without a communal effort. Therefore, we need your
participation and support. We can’t fulfill our vision without people who are committed to serve in ways that illustrate God’s transformation of a broken world. We need your support financially, your presence in worship, and your service in ministry.

Please consider financially supporting St. Paul’s Ministries for 2020. If you have supported St. Paul in previous years, thank you for your generosity and we ask you to consider renewing your support for 2020. Our desire is for every member to participate in our ministries of grace, generosity, and service so that God may be glorified through our efforts here and abroad.

Our Narrative Budget gives insights into what we do according to each ministry area. Over the last three years we have worked hard to keep our budget amount the same as previous years. Thankfully, over that time period, our budget experienced less than 1% increase year to year.  However, with the addition of staff, efforts to enhance our contemporary and traditional services, and rising insurance cost, our projected estimated operational budget calls for a 3.5% increase over last year. These increases will help us continue our excellent pastoral care, give more opportunities for small group growth, and allow for our Sunday worship to be more meaningful.

There are two 2020 Commitment Cards (Financial & Missional) to help our ministry teams plan for next year. Like previous years, we want to be sensitive to God so that we can adequately plan. We always want to be one-step beyond comfortable so that we exercise our faith in following God.

On Sunday, November 17, during each worship service, there will be a special consecration prayer for next year’s ministry. I trust that you will join me for worship on
this day.

Thank you again for your commitment to our church and may God bless you for your generosity and service.

Prayerfully consider how you’ll be a part of Growing the Faith of People
